When I initially re-started FFXI, I decided to level up what I call the utility jobs first; those being Warrior (level 31 at the time of this post), and Thief (level 25) while I decided what I wanted to play.  I tend to gravitate to mage style jobs; enjoying the back-line technical aspects of such positions, while almost completely shunning melee jobs.

“Finding a Path” not only refers to the initial goal of settling into a in-game profession, but also finding my way through a play style I usually don’t do, and this blog serves as a way for me to document that process.

Hey Suqu, i read your latest post, i see (i had assumed so) that your having a few doubts, and or, have lost the will to play FFXI which is understandable because i debate whether i’ll stay everyday I play. Anyway, i hope everything is well with yourself and your family, and i also hope you come back to FFXI soon. Linkshell update: Wenyuan left today for Medic training (Coastguard) i’ll miss him, he’ll be away for 3-4 months, Sidhe our illustrious leader and her Hubby Lupe are away from the LS due to IIRC creditcard problems that they think are linked to PlayOnline.

3. It’s been a while. I’ve been away for a very long time… With the advent of FFXIV however, I’ve decided to look up those I used to play this god-forsaken game with. All the irritation and aggrivation. The fighting and the brawling. Somehow I guess this news of the new FF has made me realise that… I may… miss it all and of course, miss you guys as well. I guess I’m attempting to see if anyone I once knew in FFXI is contemplating playing 14 and if so, maybe we could party together or something.
